The audit processes described above all involve running an audit against the student’s selected degree track. But because the audit process only initially creates work-in-progress data, that process can be simply run against any degree track. It is thus a simple enhancement to add an interface (as the one shown on the right) where a student or advisor can test a student’s academic record against any selected degree track.

In the example, the interface shown first allows a student or advisor to select a degree major, followed by a second page that allows the selection of a track within the major.  The standard audit rules for the selected track are then run against the student’s current academic record to create a temporary object that can be displayed using any of the options discussed earlier.
